Over 80 United Hatzalah regional coordinators gathered for the greatly anticipated Annual Convention. The purpose of the convention was to share with all the coordinators the recent developments across a wide range of issues. Leading medical, legal and public figures presented their words of guidance and expertise to help United Hatzalah reach new heights in saving lives in Israel.
Advanced features of the groundbreaking Moskowitz LifeCompass Dispatch technology were displayed for immediate implementation. Professor Avi Rivkind Head of Surgery and the Trauma Unit at Hadassah Medical Center and United Hatzalah's Medical Director expressed his ongoing amazement and pride in the organization. He electrified the audience with his announcement of the launch of the United Hatzalah Doctor's unit. The unit to be comprised of active trauma/emergency room physicians, obstetric specialists and other relevant professionals will be linked together via the Moskowitz LifeCompass technology and led by Professor Rivkind.

United Hatzalah was hailed by a broad spectrum of knesset members and other public officials including Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai (pictured left), MK and Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman, MK and Chairman of the Finance committee Moshe Gafni, MK and Deputy Treasury Minister Yitzchak Cohen, MK Transportation Minister and Minister of Road Safety Yisrael Katz, MK and Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee Uri Maklev.

One of the highlights of the event was the informal but deep sense of camaraderie among the regional coordinators who came from all over Israel to participate in the event. The feelings of unity in purpose and unity in spirit was clearly a motivator among the united Hatzalah medics.
